A slightly ironic album title, no? Now Mrs Sarkozy, the French President’s wife’s name is splashed all over the papers as her new album becomes global news. Which other president has his wife singing songs of love and lust about him (on record, not at home)?

I loved her first album Quelqu’ Un Ma Dit, but was less enamoured with it’s English language follow-up, No Promises. Happily this is far more like the debut: 13 beautiful contemporary French classics and one English cover of the Bob Dylan song, ‘You Belong To Me’.
