There is something truly marvellous about a really good oboist. Albrecht Mayer is considered one of the best oboists in the world. His choice of repertoire is, as always inspired with a seamless blending of traditional repertoire with contemporary music. Markus Becker is the pianist, as well as composer on the album and they’re joined by Tabea Zimmermann on viola and Marie-luise Neunecker on French Horn. Just delightful!
