There is a large body of literature that deals with the study of carbon fibers. Most of this, however, is of a theoretical nature. The aim of this text is to give a practical approach to the use of carbon fibers, particularly in manufacturing, as well as to provide insight into understanding the problems and attempted solutions associated with production and testing of carbon fibers and their related products. Further, the author provides references for those interested in the theoretical aspects of carbon fibers, encouraging the study of background information available in a wide variety of resources.
