Since arriving in 1994, Something for Kate have bent the Australian musical landscape to their will. Few bands have spanned multiple eras of Australian music as they have, and even fewer have refused so stridently to be cosseted by their past. The Modern Medieval brings together three closely knit musicians, showing that moving in parallel lines leads to sustained and stunning invention.
