Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt

Ronstadt Linda

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, The Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt showcases one of the most successful female recording artists in history. Her incomparable voice has graced dozens of hits, she’s sold more than 100 million albums, won countless industry awards (including 11 Grammys®) and is among the best-selling artists of all time. The 21-track collection spans four decades and features selections dating back to her first hit, Different Drum. The song, which was written by Mike Nesmith of The Monkees, came out in 1967 on the second album from Ronstadt’s short-lived folkrock trio, The Stone Poneys. Hits from the 1970s include You’re No Good, the top 20 ARIA single from her Grammy-winning 1974 breakthrough Heart Like A Wheel, Heat Wave from 1975’s Prisoner In Disguise and the #5 ARIA single Blue Bayou from her 1977 Grammywinning release Simple Dreams. Other Ronstadt classics featured here include her extraordinary duet with Aaron Neville on the ARIA #1 single release Don’t Know Much from 1989’s Cry Like A Rainstorm, Howl Like The Wind and the Academy Award-nominated Somewhere Out There with James Ingram. Linda Ronstadt returned to the top five of the ARIA Album Charts last year with the release of My Dear Companion: Selections From The Trio Collection, her collaborative recordings with Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton. My Dear Companion was 2016’s 52nd best selling album in Australia.
