After almost a decade since his last studio outing, respected blues guitarist, singer & songwriter Geoff Achison is ready to unveil his latest recording project. It’s called ‘Another Mile, Another Minute!’

Showcasing all new material and featuring his band, The Souldiggers with some very special guests; this new album showcases Geoff’s ever-evolving song writing flair, flowing effortlessly through a variety of styles. With help from some heavy hitting musical friends including Chris Wilson, Lloyd Spiegel, Shannon Bourne, Susie Ahern & Steve Romig this genre bending record weaves its way through blues, country, rock, funk and folk.

Geoff’s last original venture was ‘One Ticket, One Ride’ which was conceived and recorded whilst he was living in the USA. That album was made in 2008 over the course of several months, between his extensive road trips playing the blues clubs and juke joints of the Deep South. It gleaned several new songs that became popular additions to the set for Geoff and The Souldiggers. Subsequent touring kept the act busy playing live shows in the intervening years with inspired performances spawning no less than five ‘live’ albums. Aimed at capturing the excitement of Geoff’s raw and spontaneous live gigs, this culminated in 2014’s triumphant 20th Anniversary Concert staged at St Kilda’s GH Hotel and filmed & recorded for release on CD & DVD.

In October of 2015 Geoff announced his intention to return to the studio to make an all-original album. Thirteen new compositions were chosen and work began with demos, rehearsals, road testing songs at gigs and more demos. It was decided to add a re-make of one of Geoff’s old songs, Baby Come Back. First released in ‘94, the song had become such a favourite on the US tours that it has been included by popular demand.
