Best known for his work with The Necks and The Catholics, Lloyd Swanton developed a suite of 12 compositions that draw from the secret diary of his uncle, a World War II prisoner of war on the Indonesian islajnd of Ambon. Ambon brings together jazz, gospel, military and island music to create something of beauty out of great horror, offering insight into a little known tragedy.
