Chris Raven, a lone survivor of an NVA ambush, is saved by a Minneconjou Sioux Indian, who later is killed in Vietnam. After the war, Raven performs an ancient, Sioux ritual from a sacred butte to fulfill a promise he had made to him. A mistake in the ceremony transports him back one hundred years in time. The reader will experience their many adventures of a time and way of life that no longer exists. A climatic portion occurs during the Battle of the Rosebud between Crazy Horse and General George Crook, June 17, 1876.
