Comprised of some thirty-four for the most part quite lengthy poems, this collection of free verse is slightly freer, overall, than the previous such collection ‘Stressing the Essential’ (1982) by John O'Loughlin, and ranges across a wide variety of topics … from politics and sex to literature and money … in what its author prefers to regard as a loosely poetic way, though not one devoid of stylistic methodology or thematic consistency!
