The Field and Sea frames the context and surroundings of two parables that Jesus told his apostles, these parables were the treasure in the field and the pearl of great price. These two parables were spoken only to the twelve apostles of Jesus; these were not shared with the other disciples or crowd, and there is a reason for that.

Jesus's disciples ask why he teaches in riddles. Jesus tells them that they have been given to know the secrets of the kingdom but for others it has not been given. Jesus speaks in parables allowing the Holy Spirit to work with hearts to understand, and those seeking and searching may get the depth of the teaching.

The book takes us deeper into the details using the information provided from the bible and following the information revealed and examined from the scriptures. The scriptures will give rise to the desire to understand the depths of what Jesus is telling us, searching for the meanings within.
