Chronic pain is a widespread issue that affects millions of individuals worldwide. This study aimed to examine the experiences of young adult women who dealt with chronic pain in adolescence, and how that has affected their identity development. While much literature exists on treatment modalities to treat chronic pain, both medically and psychologically, little research has been conducted on the specific area of identity development during adolescence.
