Analytical Chemistry

Analytical Chemistry is the science of establishing, innovating and applying the concepts, principles and strategies for measuring the characteristics of chemical systems and species. Analytical Chemistry has provided many of the tools and methods necessary for research in the other four traditional areas of Chemistry and has stimulated multidisciplinary research in fields such as; medicinal chemistry, clinical chemistry, toxicology, forensic chemistry, materials science, geochemistry and environmental chemistry.Analytical chemistry deals with the chemical characterization of matter and the answer to two important questions: what it is (qualitative aspect) and in what quantity it is present (quantitative). Everything that is used or consumed is composed of chemicals, and knowledge of the chemical composition of many substances is important for everyday life. Analytical chemistry plays an important role in almost all aspects of chemistry: agricultural, clinical, environmental, forensic, manufacturing, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, etc. It is also an important tool in quality control and scientific research.
