The Marquis Cartel is a continuation of 1968: A Vietnam War Love Story, the second book of a three-part Love series. Jim’s first love, Tito, was killed in Vietnam. Tito’s eternal wish was that he and Jim run his father’s, Henry Martinez’s, import/ export business located in Miami, Florida. Fifteen years after the war, Jim, with his new lover Ron, who he also served with in Vietnam, joined by their longtime assistant David, are now employed by Henry’s import/export company in Miami. Henry gifted Jim a yacht that Jim named the Tito, which ended up serving as Jim’s home office. Soon the small yacht started to feel cramped, and they needed to upgrade to the slightly larger Tito II.But as their business grew, so did its employees. The business then acquired the Tito III, a 130’ yacht to replace the 90’ Tito II. Now the Tito III crew had the proper accommodations to travel the high seas of the Caribbean to focus their efforts on the expansion of their import/export operation, thus allowing them to control all ports in the Caribbean Sea.But something was not quite right, and the deeper they dug into the company’s inner workings, so did the threat of danger. Jim, Ron, and David made every effort to ensure their personal safety and that of their crew. The Cartel had already been struck, but who ordered the hit and why? Do they stay in Miami, retreat to other ports of call, or just give up on everything?
