Field of Fears: The Haunting of Randolph County Asylum

The Randolph County Asylum was the location of misery and death for many unfortunate enough to find themselves locked away involuntarily within its rooms. Only two years after opening as a poor farm in 1851, it burned to the ground, taking with it the screaming souls of its trapped occupants. It was on this unhallowed ground that a newer, larger building was raised. The asylum sat quietly as its new inhabitants moved in and began giving it life, through the loss of their own. Since it was first built, it has welcomed scores of spirits into its gloomy rooms and hallways.
