24: Behind the Scenes

The photographs in this book were taken by the author Jon Cassar over four years of the Fox Network’s hit series 24 and offers a private and unique look through the eyes of the filmmaker. 24’s fourth and most recent season was the acclaimed series’ strongest and most consistent to date. The star of 24, Kiefer Sutherland, is best knwon for his role as special field agent Jack Bauer. 24 was originally intended to be a one-time mini-series in which Jack Bauer has to stop a presidential candidate from being assassinated as well as rescue his wife and daughter, who are being held hostage. The first season was such a hit that there were second, third and fourth seasons made. A fifth season began in the US in January 2006. The series has also spun off a video game, released in February 2006 and a graphic novel. 24 has received critical and popular acclaim, and has become a true water cooler show, in the first season Kiefer Sutherland won a Golden Globe for his performances; show creators Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran won an Emmy award.
