Glorie was placed undercover to spy on a gangster. But, he caught her. And now he’s keeping her. Before Glorie could even begin the police academy she was plucked out and sent to work undercover in a saloon. Her mission was to gather evidence on the illegal enterprises of the notorious gangster, Jozadak Kane. Suppressing the atrocious act that changed her life, the horror that made her fear all men, while she is working late one night, thieves break in to rob the saloon and they grab Glorie with the intent of assaulting her and then killing her. Shocked at who comes to her rescue, before she can breathe a sigh of relief she is bound and tossed into a car that races away into the frightening night. Joze. Something continues to terrorize Glorie’s dreams, and he is going to discover what or who it is and fix it, for good. Destroy what had hurt her so badly it still clutched her in its ghastly throes. But, for now, the more Glorie avoided him, the angrier he grew. It kicked him in the gut that she was obviously at least a little attracted to him, he knew he could win her over if she’d let him in just a hair. But, because she believed him to be this cutthroat ruthless hood, and she was a goody two-shoes, inexperienced cop, she would have nothing to do with him. Not to mention that little thing about him kidnapping her. And keeping her. Against her will. When the really bad guys come for Glorie, will Joze risk it all, his businesses, his life, his freedom, to save her?
