This book starts from the jaw-dropping premise that everything you know could be wrong! Part science, part discovery and part fun, this book encourages kids to really think about science and the world around them, rather than just learning facts.

Lots of received wisdom is plain wrong. Sometimes, as with the old belief that all dinosaurs were scaly, it’s because new knowledge has come to light (fossil finds suggest many had feathers), turning ‘facts’ into myths. Other ‘wrong’ facts, for example that compasses point North, are half-truths: the full truth is much more interesting!
