The poems I’ve written in Book of Rhymes: Beulah Rhythmical are expressing the emotions and experiences of love, courage, life, joy, personal philosophy, and strength. Some have a political bent to them. The poems are brought to life by some of my experiences, what I hear, feel and see daily. I am inspired by the greater one within, the almighty God, the poets who lived before us, and those who are present now in England, the USA, and Jamaica, as well as other countries. I was born in Birmingham, England, however my parents found it necessary to expose me to their Jamaican heritage and culture at the age of fifteen. I then resided there until the age of twenty, Thereafter, returned back to the UK to further my studies. I am happy I got the chance to have an overall multicultural experience, living in different cultures. First-time author N.C. Morgan has been writing poetry since the age of nine. She has performed her poems at different events and at church functions. This is one of her first pieces of work in a book format. She writes from her heart and mind. She is a qualified Holistic Therapist Practitioner MICHT, artist and designer. Her vision is to inspire and assist the less fortunate, the motherless, and the fatherless.
