Wugularr community is located in the Beswick Land Trust in the Northern Territory. People from Wugularr community have chosen to share one of their traditional stories, the tale of The Mermaid and Serpent.
The Mermaid and Serpent is a story about two mermaids and a Rainbow Serpent. This story is traditionally told in the Dalabon language and has been translated into English for Sharing Our Stories.

This landmark series supports shared reading, comprehension and critical literacy skills, as well as Humanities and Social Sciences in middle and upper primary classrooms.
