W.E. Fairbairn is a legendary figure in the history of Military Combatives and the Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife he designed with E.A. Sykes has achieved a legendary status of its own. There have been numerous books, primarily aimed at collectors, written about the Fairbairn-Sykes and its variations.
