Contemporary Antisemitism

Contemporary Antisemitism presents papers from the London Antisemitism Conference that took place in March 2025, bringing together scholars, activists, practitioners, and artists from around the world to analyze and address the global crisis of contemporary antisemitism in the wake of October 7, 2023.

Divided into three main sections, the book begins by exploring the mechanisms of persistence, offering reflections on how contemporary antisemitism is rooted in old antisemitic patterns such as the blood libel or local traditions dating back far beyond the 20th century. It then presents the latest research on antisemitism, employing quantitative methods, critical theory, and discourse analysis to capture today's multifaceted and often subtle forms of antisemitic trends, ideologies, propaganda, and violence. Finally, the book investigates specific social spheres-academia, education, social media, the arts, religion, and politics-where antisemitism is currently wreaking intense turmoil.

Contemporary Antisemitism will appeal to scholars, policymakers, educators, and anyone seeking to understand and address contemporary antisemitism through rigorous, interdisciplinary research.
