Magic Pudding miniature
Readings is delighted to be the exclusive retailer for a very special miniature commemorating the 100th anniversary of Norman Lindsay’s The Magic Pudding. The bronze miniature is a replica of the Magic Pudding sculpture by Louis Laumen that is the centerpiece of The Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne.
The Melbourne Prize Trust has released a limited edition of anniversary miniatures of Laumen’s sculpture, exclusively available for sale through Readings. These special hand-crafted miniatures have been dated with a centenary stamp (1918 – 2018) and the book on which the characters stand is plated in burnished sterling silver.
Only a very limited number of anniversary miniatures of this sculpture have been authorised under copyright from Norman Lindsay’s family and are handmade to order by Fundere Fine Art Foundry. The cost of each miniature is $4,925 and there are only 18 available world-wide, each with an edition number. Once they are sold out, there will be no more.
The miniatures are the perfect collectable, keepsake or very special gift.
