During a heatwave in February 2014, brown coal ignited within Hazelwood Power Station’s open-pit mine, causing a fire that burned for forty-five days and sent toxic plumes of smoke over the town of Morwell in Victoria’s Latrobe Valley. Join us to hear Tom Doig discuss his new book Hazelwood, a powerful account of these events and their consequences, with Chloe Hooper (The Arsonist; The Tall Man).
