Join Judith Brett – biographer, historian and an emeritus professor of politics at La Trobe University – for a frank and galvanising discussion about Australia’s coal addiction. Drawing from the findings in her new Quarterly Essay, she will unpack the consequences of our economic reliance on coal, from stalled climate-change policy to tensions between farmers and miners.

Brett will be joined in conversation by journalist Geraldine Doogue.

This event commences online at 6.30pm using the video conferencing platform Zoom.
