From the winner of the 2013 Thomas Shapcott Prize, David Stavanger (on odd occasions also known as Green Room Award nominated performance poet Ghostboy), comes The Special, a poetic memoir of dark, direct and surreal poems/flash fiction that draw on themes of resilience, surrender, subconscious desire, and what it means to be human.

Renowned Literary Minded blogger, Angela Meyer, will launch The Special, as well as read herself from her recent flash fiction collection Captives. Also reading on the night will be award winning poet & playwright Jennifer Compton - winner of the 2013 Newcastle Poetry Prize. Wine will be provided and David be signing books on the night too.
