Gerald Murnane was born in Melbourne in and has been a primary teacher, an editor and a university lecturer. His debut novel, Tamarisk Row (1974), was followed by ten other works of fiction, including The Plains and most recently Border Districts which won the 2018 Prime Minister’s Literary Award. In 1999, Murnane won the Patrick White Award and in 2009, the Melbourne Prize for Literature.

In his 80th birthday month, we are delighted to have him in conversation with journalist Jason Steger to celebrate the release of two new works: A Season on Earth and Green Shadows and other poems.

There are three ticket options for this event: $10 for entry only; $40 for entry with a first edition signed copy of A Season on Earth; and $55 for entry with first edition signed copies of both A Season on Earth and Green Shadows and other poems.
