After the trials and tribulations of many years and even more albums on major labels, it seems fitting that after moving to home-grown indie label Other Tongues, You Am I should release a self-titled album.
But is it any good? Well, yes actually, it’s really rather good and a welcome return to form. It’s the quieter moments on this lush, melodic record that shine. Tracks like 'We Hardly Knew You' and 'Kicking the Balustrade' soar, and feature some stellar guitar work from the ever-brilliant Davey Lane.
Elsewhere Megan Washington guests on' Lie and Face the Sun' to lovely effect, and 'Let’s Not Get Famous' rounds out the record beautifully, cementing Tim Rogers’s place as one of our very finest songwriters. Take a bow.
