Watch Me Disappear: Augie March

Augie March is one of Melbourne’s most important musical entities. Over the course of twelve years and three albums they have created an enviable body of work. Watch Me Disappear is their latest and finds them teamed with American producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, Beck, My Morning Jacket).

As we have come to expect from Augie March, Glenn Richards’ lyrics are once again sharp, evocative and literary, with a diverse cast of richly drawn characters inhabiting the 11 tracks on offer. My favourites (to date) include Dogsday, The Slant, Lupus and the title track. Listening to an Augie March album is a rewarding experience, with hidden treasures revealing themselves upon repeated listens. Go hunting for treasure within Watch Me Disappear.
