This is one of my all-time favourite books. I read it once when I was eight and spent the next 12 years trying to remember the name of the book that had created such an image in my head of the deep silence of a secret midnight garden. Re-reading it again as an adult made all the flavours come back and for one moment, I was a kid again. This beautiful gift edition is perfect for first-timers and for those of us revisiting that delicious place.
