Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has helped define the genre of protest songs. His voice is still great, as is his backing group of musos. His first album of new songs in six years (two excellent live acoustic compilations have kept his fans happy in between) is another example of what a great songman he is. Still fired up by injustice and the state of politics in America, one can only imagine what he may make of Sarah Palin. Browne will be touring Australia in March 09.
