The Wind that Shakes the Barley by Loreena McKennitt

In the couple of years since her last album, Canadian harpist and singer Loreena McKennitt has been absorbing herself in her love of traditional Celtic song. As usual, she is supported by the talented Hugh Marsh on fiddle and Catherine Lavelle on cello, while Celtic guitar supremo Tony McManus also plays on a couple of tracks. Fans of McKennitt’s more stripped-down first few albums, before her eastern and medieval excursions, will particularly enjoy this one.
