The Dark Side of the Moon: The Flaming Lips and Stardeath And White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches

In which the Lips join a couple of fellow Oklahoma bands and a couple of more well-known guests for a re-imagining of one of rock music’s most iconic of long-players. Sound intriguing? Having spent some time touring together recently, the participants discovered a mutual love for Pink Floyd – and this record in particular – and decided to pay homage.

The results are something more akin to Syd Barrett-era Floyd, as you might expect given the minds behind the project, but the great thing about the Flaming Lips has always been how predictably unpredictable they are. This is a bizarre trip but ultimately worth the ride.
