Privileged Woes: Oh Mercy

Privileged Woes is the debut long-player from local outfit Oh Mercy – and quite a nifty little piece of pop sunshine it is, too. Alexander Gow and Thomas Savage have produced a polished set of tunes and clearly have a knowing way with a hook and a slyly clever lyric. There is much to admire here and it’s all delivered with a tip of the hat to such classic Aussie stylists as the Go-Betweens and Paul Kelly. Great stuff.
