Moonfire by Boy and Bear
This is the Sydney based quintet’s highly anticipated debut full-length album, following their acclaimed EP With Emperor Antarctica (2010). Describing their sound as ‘a combination of drivey indie folk and choral harmonies’, Boy & Bear have a style that is very reminiscent of the galloping rollick and harmonic sounds of Mumford & Sons (who they supported for their Australian tour in 2010), as well as NSW band Cloud Control.
Recorded in Nashville with producer Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Strokes and The Shins), Moonfire sees the band evolving in a very positive way, and their first single 'Feeding Line' has very quickly claimed the number one spot on Triple J’s most-played list. This is a must-have for those who enjoyed their fantastic EP, or for anyone with a penchant for indie-folk!
