Mariachi El Bronx by The Bronx
WARNING! This is neither a punk album nor a rap album. The cover is not an indication of the music you are about to hear. Immediately the black Charro clothing makes you stand up and take notice. But this is no ordinary mariachi band. LA punk darlings The Bronx have created an alter ego that could outstrip their original personas. The music is wonderful: exuberant, filled with passion and fire. You cannot help but be swept up in its emotive storytelling, ranging from joy to lament. The band has taken its naivety in this art form and learned from artists like Mariachi Reyna De Los Angeles. Please listen to this album. I promise you will love it! The brilliant '48 Roses' and 'Revolution Girls' are highlights.
