Live in Australia: Chris Isaak
There are few people that could get away with wearing the garish mirrorball suit that adorns Chris Isaak on the cover of this live album, but Isaak’s comfort performing in front of thousand of people right here in Melbourne and his easy charm makes it all part of the show.
An excellent set of 20 songs is included, all solid album tracks and polished performances (he can still hit those high notes from Wicked Game, one of the most achingly beautiful songs ever written); there is a little banter with the audience - sequenced as stand-alone tracks so that they can be skipped if you prefer, and the sound quality is excellent. The man puts on a good show.
