Little Else: Julie Hunt and Beth Norling
Little Else is a Pippi Longstocking of the Australian bush. Seven years old, feisty and brave-hearted, she defies injustice and creates adventure. When she joins Ma Calico’s Circus, she not only becomes a brilliant stunt rider and horse whisperer, but, with the help of the feared bushranger Harry Blast, she also saves her fellow performers from being ripped off by Ma Calico.
Forming her own gang of bushrangers, she faces great adventures and satisfying triumphs in a truly Australian landscape, travelling through Deadman’s Gap and Desolation Gulf in search of the mythical treasure of Mt Lost.
Recommended, and best read in order, for young adventurers 6 to 9-ish.
