Kiss Each Other Clean by Iron and Wine

It has surely been a while since we heard the whispering imagery that is Sam Beams’s Iron and Wine. Kiss Each Other Clean, his new release, sees a natural progression take shape. 60s and 70s pure pop, touches of jazz, blues and African rhythms get thrown into a melting pot fused with Beams’s multi-textured vocals and harmonies. The lyrics still tell of love and hope and dreams but it seems to me that a much happier Sam Beam has come to play.
