Nick Charles is one of Australia’s premier finger pickers. For his latest collection, he revisits the blues: the music that inspired him to pick up a guitar in the first place. The sound he gets out of six and 12-string acoustic guitars, dobros and mandolins is huge and powerful.
The standout track is ‘Denver Blues Variations’, and the album also features local players like Bruce Haymes on piano, Alex Burns on harmonica and Pete Fidler on lap dobro.
