Brandi Carlile’s star is very much on the rise in Australia, and fans of the 2007 The Story will be pleased to hear that her work has continued in a similar vein with her new release. The guitars and drums still propel many tracks, and in between, sweet moments of folk and country peek through. Produced by Rick Rubin and featuring guest appearances by Elton John and RHCP’s Chad Smith, all framing Brandi’s spectacular voice, this album is sure to be a radio mainstay for much of the summer.
