Chanson dans la nuit
There is something really special about the sound of a viola. There's a depth that can never quite be reached by a violin. Pair an exceptional violist with an exceptional harpist and you have something quite unique. These two very glamorous musicians have created and arranged much of the album themselves for this duo recording of repertoire both known and not quite as well known, including Debussy, Faure and Marais. But what is clear is that these are musicians of the highest quality and the lilting sense of singing imbues every note with delight.
