Bumble-Ardy by Maurice Sendak

This is a book about a very mischievous pig! Bumble-Ardy has just turned nine and has never had a birthday party. Determined to mark the occasion, he sets about organising an event without parental consent. Having invited all his friends, the party soon gets out of hand and lands poor Bumble-Ardy in trouble. Who then vows to never turn ten! This is the first book to be written and illustrated by acclaimed author Maurice Sendak since his 1981 publication, Outside Over There. While it’s dark in tone, readers will delight in the rhyming text and the powerful illustrations that are signature styles of Sendak’s.
