Australian mezzo soprano Fiona Campbell and American counter-tenor David Walker have joined forces this year to create a new recording of baroque duets through Sydney label Vexations840. The sound world is stunning and warm, without the dryness often associated with baroque repertoire. The wonderful aspect of this particular set of chosen works is that Campbell and Walker have chosen baroque repertoire that is a combination of wellknown and lesser-known vocal pieces of the period; the result is a recording both beautiful and musically satisfying.
