Ms. Peyroux has steadily grown in confidence with each of her recordings and this time she’s written her own songs just to prove it. We have an earthy, warm and introspective songwriter here, revealed with honest and sophisticated lyrics and superb musicianship. She has selected the same producer, Larry Klein, and used Walter Becker and Larry Coryell as co-writers here and there. Their years of experience have guided her to a superb result – this is a beautiful album sure to please.
