Australian Guitar Music: Aleksandr Tsiboulski
With this new recording, Naxos once again proves what a valuable resource it has become to the world of classical music.
Ukrainian born Aleksandr Tsiboulski (he moved to Australia when he was ten) has put together a fantastic program of guitar music from Peter Sculthorpe, Ross Edwards, Graeme Koehne, Brett Dean and Phillip Houghton. There is not a false note to be found here, from the compositional structure to the interpretation, to the exquisite playing from Tsiboulski. Australia has, over the years, cultivated a great love of classical guitar repertoire – and with this new recording that can only grow. Highly recommended.
