Guess what? Astroblast is a blast! It’s a brilliant early reader that has nifty rhyming text and fun activities that sneakily involve simple literacy and numeracy, as well as shape matching and the always fun maze puzzle. From its cool endpapers, colour is abounding, and retro-style illustrations make this a physically appealing book.

As a read-aloud picture book or as a reader, I doubt few children will not love Radar and his space mates’ world, while learning a thing or two along the way. What more could you want from a kids’ book?
