You have to acknowledge that this is an artist whose appeal and longevity comes not just from a beautiful voice, but the ability to adapt and remain creative over the years.
The album is a tribute to a sense of self and place. Be it New Orleans, Italy or New York, these songs express the attraction and ambience of the places Wilson obviously adores. It’s bluesy, it’s bossa, it’s nostalgic and at times meditative and always enjoyable. Think outdoor café, summer and the sea.
