Milo Armadillo: Jan Fearnley
My nephew is completely obsessed at the moment with armadilloes and their obscure relative the pangolin. Milo Armadillo could have been written for him, as it also features a lot of pink (his favourite colour).
Tallulah desperately wants a pink fluffy rabbit, but can't find one anywhere. Gran gets to work with her knitting needles and soon knits Tallulah a lovely pink - armadillo. Tallulah tries to appreciate her new friend Milo Armadillo, but can't help talking about pink rabbits all the time. Poor Milo develops a bit of an inferiority complex and tries to be more rabbit-like. It takes drastic events for Tallulah to realise how much she loves Milo Armadillo.
This sweet book about friendship has gorgeous collage illustrations and best of all, a knitting pattern for a toy armadillo in the back. Grans (and Granddads), get your knitting needles out!
