James Halliday: A Life in Wine

James Halliday: A Life in Wine

A delightful collection of James Halliday's reminiscences of his remarkable wine career, from the master himself. In a much-lauded career in wine spanning over forty years and accumulating innumerable awards, James Halliday has seen it all. Join him as he recounts, in his inimitable style, the events and people that have shaped his life to date.

James Halliday is Australia's most respected wine writer and wine judge. Over the past 40 years he has been a lawyer, winemaker and grape grower, wine judge, wine consultant, journalist and author. He established Brokenwood winery and Cricket Pitch vineyard in the Hunter Valley with Tony Albert and John Beeston in 1970, before founding Coldstream Hills winery (with his wife Suzanne) in the Yarra Valley in 1985.

James has written or contributed to over 30 books on wine including Collecting Wine: You and your cellar; the award winning Wine Atlas of Australia and New Zealand, The Wine Atlas of California and an annual companion to Australian and New Zealand wines.
