2009 UK 36-track 2-CD soundtrack album set - Written & directed by Richard Curtis [Four Weddings & A Funeral, Love, Actually], the eponymous Boat is Radio Rock, a pirate radio station broadcasting from a fishing boat in the North Sea in the 60s, when pop music was branded a danger to the public conscience and rock DJs as outlaws. Bringing together some of Richard Curtis’ favourite songs, many of which have never been cleared for soundtrack usage before, the soundtrack is truly integral to the movie.
